Hikes with Jen series - Sunbathing Turtle - Southwestway Park
The sunbathing turtle was spotted on one of my many hikes with my friend, Jen. The original is not for sale at the moment (but for the right price? Make me an offer!) A wonderful second option is my high quality fine art print on specialty paper, which will fool the eye, as it is hard to tell the print from the original. The 11x14 print is full scale, but is also available in an 8x10 for $25.
Off to the Drum Circle - Siesta Key Beach
This was a snapshot in time with my besties, as we headed off to the drum circle on Siesta Key Beach, to celebrate the sunset! The weather was as perfect as this image of my girls. The original is sold, but the 11x14 high quality fine art print is full scale of the original. Prints are also available in 8x10 for $25.
Eclipse Flamingo 3
I sat outside on my deck, while creating this series from start to finish (1 of 3), in Indiana during the 2024 full eclipse. The inspiration images, from which I painted, were taken at The Jungle Gardens in Sarasota, FL on my last vacation. The original watercolor of Eclipse Flamingo 3 has been sold. Porch Flowers - Framed
The tradition of gardening is an art. It encourages our creativity and feeds our feelings of peace and inspiration. It honors a long-time tradition of flower gardening. My deck is my substitute for a “porch”. Each spring I look forward to choosing the colors and varieties of flowers and greenery, as well as the pots and planters in which to put them. Turning the soil, placing the plants together in a pot or in the ground, feeding and caring for them is a practice that brings me a sense of purpose and joy in the same way painting a watercolor does. Practicing careful observation and great care brings both porch flowers and a watercolor painting to develop into a brilliant and peaceful source of inspiration. I love my “Porch Flowers”.
Swish - 14" x 11" Print
Swish - Professional Print, Archival ink and paperstock Pen and Ink with heavy use of pointillism creating texture and shadows in the piece. The artist took photos of basketballs going through nets at the Greenwood Rec Ctr. Some internet reference photos were used. Completed in March 2024. The mat and frame choices in this piece further accentuate the detail in the basketball and in the net. The mat being off center helps the observer see the movement of the basketball. Awards: Blue ribbon from Greater Greenwood Arts Council, Blue ribbon from Johnson County Fair Indiana.

Play Ball - Framed
This popular black metal frame measuring 21 wide x 18 high surrounds this original pen and ink on bristol with double mats. One mat is black and the other is white to accent the piece. The pointtillism and hatch marks that create the texture of the ball and glove and the lushness of the grass tell the story of a ball and glove left behind for the moment. Artist took her own pictures of an old ball and glove to create this piece. Prints of this piece measuring 10"x8" for $35 and 14"x11" for $38 are available upon request.
