The tradition of gardening is an art. It encourages our creativity and feeds our feelings of peace and inspiration. It honors a long-time tradition of flower gardening.

My deck is my substitute for a “porch”.  Each spring I look forward to choosing the colors and varieties of flowers and greenery, as well as the pots and planters in which to put them.  Turning the soil, placing the plants together in a pot or in the ground, feeding and caring for them is a practice that brings me a sense of purpose and joy in the same way painting a watercolor does.  Practicing careful observation and great care brings both porch flowers and a watercolor painting to develop into a brilliant and peaceful source of inspiration.  I love my “Porch Flowers”.
